If you're stuck on the EyeLights logo of your EyeRide, don’t worry!
There are several reasons that can explain this situation, and we’ll help you identify them so you can fully enjoy your experience with the EyeRide.
Here are the main reasons and how to resolve them.
⚠️ Please follow each step in the order indicated.
Step 1: Disable Automatic Connection to Wi-Fi Networks
Why it’s important:
When automatic connection to Wi-Fi networks is enabled, your phone can connect to public or known networks without you noticing.
For example, if you’ve previously used the Wi-Fi at a place like Aquaboulevard, your phone will try to reconnect automatically as soon as you pass by, which will interrupt the connection with your EyeRide while you’re riding.
By disabling this option, you avoid these interruptions and ensure that the EyeRide remains connected without interference.
Here’s how to disable automatic connection on different devices.
- Open Settings.
- Go to Wi-Fi.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page, click on Auto-Join.
- Select Never.
- Open Settings.
- Go to Network & Internet, then Internet.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Network Preferences.
- Disable the option Turn on Wi-Fi automatically.
Step 2: Disconnect from Wi-Fi Networks You're Connected To
If you're testing your EyeRide at home before riding, for example, it's possible that your phone is still connected to your home Wi-Fi network.
This prevents the EyeRide from connecting properly.
Here’s how to do it:
- Go to Settings.
- Select Wi-Fi.
- Find the Wi-Fi network you're connected to (like your home network).
- Tap the small "i" next to the network, then select Disconnect and disable Auto-Join.
- Open Settings.
- Go to Network & Internet, then Internet.
- Find the Wi-Fi network you're connected to (like your home network).
- Tap the network name, then select Disconnect.
Step 3: DO NOT Click on the EyeRide Wi-Fi Network
You do not need to manually connect to the EyeRide Wi-Fi network.
The connection between your phone and the EyeRide happens automatically after you follow the previous steps.
Just let the pairing process occur without any intervention.
Step 4: Verify That You're Connected to the Correct Bluetooth Network
If you’re stuck on the EyeLights logo, you may have chosen the wrong Bluetooth network during pairing.
If this is the case, the EyeRide will not connect properly, resulting in being stuck on the EyeLights logo.
On both iOS and Android, here’s what you need to do:
- Go to your phone’s Bluetooth settings.
-
Check the name of the network you're connected to.
If you see that your phone is connected to Eyeride_XXXX (with an underscore between 'Eyeride' and 'XXXX'), it’s the wrong network! -
Disconnect from the wrong network.
Click on Eyeride_XXXX (the one with the underscore) and select "Forget this device" or Disconnect. -
Connect to the correct network.
You should connect to one of the correct Bluetooth networks of the EyeRide, which start with:- EyeRide-Connect
- EyeRide-XXXX (with a hyphen between 'EyeRide' and 'XXXX')
As a Last Resort
If, after following all these steps, you are still stuck on the EyeLights logo, your phone may not be compatible.
Although this is rare, some models are not supported by the EyeRide.
