You have an Honor, Huawei or Xiaomi phone
If you own an Honor, Huawei or Xiaomi, here's how to check whether your phone is compatible:
Step 1: Check for Android Auto
- Open your phone's settings.
- Search for Android Auto.
- If the application appears, go on to step 2.
- If it doesn't appear, go to the Google Play Store to download it.
- If you can download it, go on to step 2 to check wireless compatibility.
- If you can't download it: your phone is not compatible with EyeRide.
Step 2: Check compatibility with Android Auto Wireless
- If you have Android Auto installed, look for the Android Auto Wireless option in the application settings.
- If the option is available but deactivated, activate it. Your phone is compatible.
- If the option is not available, follow these steps:
- Go to the Android Auto settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and click 10 times on the Version tab. (Yes, this stage is weird, we agree with you! 😅)
- Press OK when the notification appears.
- Click on the three dots at the top right and select Developer settings.
- Activate the ‘Add wireless projection to my device’ / ‘Android Auto Wireless’ option.
- If this option does not appear, this means that your phone is not compatible with Android Auto Wireless and therefore with EyeRide.
