My remote control doesn't work at all
Here's how to do it:
- Switch on your EyeRide and connect it to your phone.
- Launch the Captain Rider application previously installed on your phone.
- In the application, click on the cogwheel at the top left to access the settings.
- Select ‘Connect EyeRide’.
- Click on ‘Connect the remote control’.
- Choose ‘Smart Controller’ (not ‘Remote Button’).
- Press the central button on the remote control.

If your remote control isn't responding as well as it used to, you may need to change the battery.
To find out if it's out of order, simply remove the silicone cap and watch for a flashing blue light.
If you don't see any, the indicator tells you that the battery needs changing!

My remote control is only partially working
If your Smart Controller seems to respond only to the central button, you may be in ‘basic’ mode.
In this mode, certain functions, such as movement, are not active, which may give the impression that the remote control is not working properly.
Your Smart Controller remote control has two modes:
- Basic Mode: Allows you to perform simple actions such as picking up your phone, controlling the music, adjusting the display brightness or activating the voice assistant.
- Advanced mode: Allows total control of the interface, such as switching between applications or selecting a contact. To ensure your safety, we recommend that you only use this mode when you are stationary.
To switch to ‘advanced’ mode, press and hold the ‘-’ key.
This will activate all the functions of your remote control and should solve the problem. 😊
