When you equip your helmet with an EyeRide, it’s natural to wonder if you can continue using your already installed intercom for audio while enjoying the visual features of the EyeRide.
The answer largely depends on your operating system, specifically whether you are using an iPhone or an Android phone.
Unfortunately, if you use an Android phone, you cannot pair the EyeRide for visual use with your intercom for audio. Android phones do not allow users to choose the audio output between two connected devices simultaneously.
If you have an iPhone, you can pair your intercom with the EyeRide. However, this setup will not allow you to fully enjoy the features of the EyeRide and its integrated audio kit, including:
- Voice commands will not be available, as the iPhone does not allow you to select the microphone source.
- You will not receive navigation instructions from your GPS apps (Waze, Maps, Google Maps).
- You will need to manually select your audio output for each call (with the iPhone being used as the default source when connected to CarPlay).
On the other hand, with this configuration, you will be able to:
- Listen to music through various apps (Spotify, Deezer, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, SoundCloud...) directly on your intercom.
- Make phone calls from your intercom.
- Fully enjoy the visual features of the EyeRide and its remote control.
In summary, you will need to use the integrated audio kit of the EyeRide to fully benefit from its features.
